Subject: Memorial tribute to John Smith and Martha Pickens
While in search of family history I came across this publication of my early family. I was very much humbled of the content, photos, and history. My sincere appreciation of the library archiving these special publications for research and family history that would have been lost in time. Mike Smith, Dixon, CA

Addendum added 28 May 2012: The date of death of Sidney Smith is noted as November 3, 1835. This is the date of death of his sister Talitha. Sidney died on May 28, 1844 following an injury when a log hit him in the chest while working in a corn bin that he was building. His son John Preston Smith, b Feb 1840, d May 31, 1896, is my g-g-grandfather. Mike Smith, Dixon, CA
